Emo Draco is EMO.So I did watch the sixth movie from the HP's franchise, and, against all odds, liked it very much. Of course, they DID cut out some of the best parts of the book, but still I found it a very enjoyable movie with nicely done touches of horror here and there. I was expecting Daniel Radcliffe's action to be just as inexpressive as it has been since the third movie (when he was a kid I used to like him more), but the whole story of the book gave him a maturity that impressed me to the point I forgot I didn't like the actor.
And it was funny, like
really funny. Ron's and Lila's short affair was screened in a priceless way. Actually, a lot of the best scenes had Rupert Grint as the focus. It's a pity that Draco was so... insipid on this movie. He's one of my favorite character, but the book wasn't gracious to him on this aspect. So I had to endure emo Draco the entire film.
What else? Harry's and Ginny's romance is just as forced as in the book, maybe even more. I'm not really complaining (well, maybe I am), but they could have made better usage of the book's scenes, like the Quidditch tournament.
But nothing tops Snape. No.
Thing. And the funniest is that I can't really say what is that I love so much in him, but I do. And Alan Rickman only makes everything juicier. <3
On a side note, I'm not feeling very well lately. My parent's divorce's still heavy on me, and having to go to school on vacations is just adding up to the Clarisse torture. I really, really need some real vacations. Bloody vacations, now! x_x
